Beginning July 1, 2020, all students 17 and under applying for a Class D driver’s license must complete an approved driver education course and complete a total of 40 hours of supervised driving, 6 hours of which must be at night, with a parent or guardian’s sworn verification that these requirements have been met.

Any Georgia resident who has not completed an approved driver education course must be at least 17 years old to be eligible for a Class D driver’s license. He or she must have completed a total of at least 40 hours of supervised driving, including at least 6 hours at night. The same verification in writing by a parent or guardian is required.

Georgia Driver’s Ed Scholarship – Now Available! 

We are now an officially approved provider for the Georgia Driver’s Education Grant Scholarship

If you’re interested in getting your Driver’s Ed covered (or significantly reduced), here’s how to get started:

Once approved, you will receive a redemption code via email

Send me your code as soon as you receive it

Important: You must redeem your code within 30 days, or you will lose your scholarship. Once your code is submitted, I’ll apply it in our system, and we can get you scheduled for class and behind-the-wheel training.

In addition to receiving approval for the GDEC scholarship, families may choose to add home pickup and drop-off service for their child for an additional $25 fee. This fee will be assessed by the parent/ guardian.
